Assisted the team with previews, quotes-led articles and press releases, while I also attended Wigan Athletic press conferences.

Also shadowed the sports editor while he taught me how to use InDesign.

Birmingham Mail – May 2014

My week at the Mail mainly focused on following happenings at Aston Villa after their owner, Randy Lerner, put the club up for sale.

This led to a joint-byline in Tuesday’s paper and received 597 shares online (click here to see article).

My work on Villa culminated with a double-page spread (left) on pages 8 & 9 in Saturday’s paper (click here for online version).
